First court-martial announced in connection to Iraqi prisoners mistreatment

Daniel Sivits says his son, Specialist Jeremy Sivits, was trained as a truck mechanic, not as a prison guard. He says his son would have been in trouble had he not followed orders to photograph the abused prisoners.
Daniel Sivits spoke to The Associated Press on April 30th. The family declined comment after the military announced Sunday that Jeremy Sivits' court-martial will take place in 10 days.
Daniel Sivits says he thinks the abuse scandal stemmed from a lack of leadership.
Jeremy Sivits is from Hyndman, Pennsylvania, about 80 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Hyndman Mayor Dell Biller says he doesn't think Sivits would do something like that without being forced.
